In this assignment, we were asked to choose an artist and study them. I studied John French, a fashion photographer. I chose French due to my love for vintage and old-fashioned fashion photography. John French posed his models in different ways to accentuate the lines in their body and to have the clothing be the main topic. I had Ella pose in different ways to create angles and sharp lines with her body. By putting my photos in black and white, I was not only replicating French's photos, but it also helped create a sense of old fashion photography and the style of the clothing be highlighted. In these photos, I tried to get big clothing, such as jackets to focus on the vintage fashion part of the photography.
These images are all really nice, I really love the way that you captured each image with a different pose of the model. You're doing a great job in replicating your artists work!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I really think you copied the artist's style really well. For the next series maybe you can try to use different settings and clothes.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Keep going!
i really like these photos but I think you should use a more controlable environment/background so that you can really focus on the subject.
ReplyDeleteThese are super good. I especially like the last one and how you can see Ella's reflection its a really nice shot.
ReplyDeletethis project is going really good and i like the different poses. I notice that your artist uses a lot of hand maybe do a little more with that.
