John French was a fashion photographer. He focused on posing his models in a way to show off the vintage clothing and create sharp lines. These last couple of weeks I focused on having Ella, Cleo, and Parker pose in ways to resemble French's photos. I created a vintage fashion look with the poses, settings, and clothing. Here are some of my best photos that fulfill French's recipe of having a model posed in extravagant ways, to give off a vintage look and creating a dramatic photo.

Final Post-John French
John French was a fashion photographer. He posed his models in different ways to show the vintage clothing and the details in the model. I used Lauren, Parker, and Ella as my models in this set of photos. I focused more on having them against a plain background, to focus on the positioning of the model's hands and body, and more of a focus on what they are wearing. Lots of times French would have his models against a plain backgrounded, so I wanted to resemble another recipe for his photography.

John French
In this assignment, we were asked to choose an artist and study them. I studied John French, a fashion photographer. I chose French due to my love for vintage and old-fashioned fashion photography. John French posed his models in different ways to accentuate the lines in their body and to have the clothing be the main topic. I had Ella pose in different ways to create angles and sharp lines with her body. By putting my photos in black and white, I was not only replicating French's photos, but it also helped create a sense of old fashion photography and the style of the clothing be highlighted. In these photos, I tried to get big clothing, such as jackets to focus on the vintage fashion part of the photography.
