Diagonals in photos help you see the depth in the photo. It allows your eyes to follow an object and see movement throughout the image.

Rules of thirds in photography creates the main subject to not be placed in the middle. This gives the viewer a chance to focus on the main subject and also have their eyes follow to the composition of the background. This helps a photo be more appealing and create a flow throughout the photo.

The triangle rule in photography helps your eyes follow in a motion to see the main focal points. This gives the viewer a chance to look at a photo and read it, just like reading a book. It is a visually appealing way to see all of the main points in a photo and to position your photo.

  1. I find your first diagonal photo very eye pleasing. The abstract form of the line really accentuates the white and grey tones.

  2. The picture of the hallway is super cool. I really liked how you blurred the background, but had the person on bench in focus; it makes it sort of seem like the photo was taken while moving.

  3. I think that the picture of the triangle made out of shadows was really impressive, I also like the colors inside of the triangle. The Martin Luther King JR. photo was cool but I dont see the diagonal.

  4. I think the picture of the kid doing work on the second floor is by far one of my favorites. The way the light is coming through the window is really nice. I really like how his body is kind of the diagonal (I think), I thought that was very creative.

  6. Great job on editing the pictures. I like the angle that you chose to capture each picture. These pictures showed a clear understanding of each concept! I am not sure what the picture with the person and laptop is trying to show but I think other pictures are very unique and lively. Good job!
